UK is currently considered free of rabies in terrestrial animals, including dogs, cats and ferrets.

The rabies vaccine is usually given before planned travel abroad.

If you plan to travel abroad, your pet will need to be vaccinated against rabies at least 3 weeks before attending a AHC ( Animal Health Certificate ) appointment.

We recommend that your pet is vaccinated from 12 weeks

of age.
